Berserker Deep Down

~ My Life ~ My Journey ~ My Destiny ~

Who Am I? I'm Your Friend...

Sharing is caring...
That's why it's my privilage to introduce this song...

Who Am I ~ Casting Crowns

First and foremost... Thanks Ming Sheng... For sharing... And caring...
Have been having all these emotional breakdowns recently...
None that i can solve by myself...
And this song has the perfect lyrics to cure and heal every emotional wound in me...
The antidote to the toxic that poisoned me...

Despite the fact that i'm a non-Christian....
I find church songs quite soothing... Calming... Meaningful...
Yup.. "Who Am I" is a church song by Casting Crowns...
A student worship band in Daytona Beach, Florida...

The song... To me... Speaks for itself...
The lyrics are about unconditional love from God to each and everyone of us...
People may judge people by their looks... By their personality... By their ability...
But... God doesn't judge... He won't...
Because we are all His children...

That's why each and everyone of us are gifted...
Some of us may have discover that partivular talent(s) they have in them...
Some may still be on a journey to uncover that..
Others might still be in the depths of darkness..
Thinking that there's nothing special bout them...

Believe me... We are born... For a reason...
Maybe this song will enlighten everyone...

Here's a hand mime of the song...
This video has hit over 8 million views on youtube!!!

A reminder to all...
A glass may be 50% full... It may be 50% empty...
It depends on how you put it...
Cherish your strengths my friends... And together we'll improve our weaknesses...

For My Country Malaysia...

Happy 52nd Independence Day!!!
My Beloved Country...
Malaysiaku Gemilang!

Studied Hard... Played Hard...

Coming to the end of a boring school holiday...
For some, this school holiday was the final stage of their preparation for the coming STPM trial exam...
And for others.... It was just the beginning of a horrible studying nightmare...

Anyhow.. I managed to study...
And hang out with some of my best friends... Throughout the entire week...
Well... Studying will only get you that far...
But enjoying life while studying hard will get you even further...

As the saying goes... Study smart...
And in my case... Have fun when you're studying...

So what i've done was to have some friend to join me in the school library...
Ming Sheng was there to study solely on Pengajian Am... Wai Nyin was struggling with Physics..
Yi Kai and I were strained and entangled by both Pengajian Am and Physics...
(Wonder why Wai Nyin doesn't have to study for Pengajian Am....)

Anyway... We had quite some fun chatting (and of course studying)...
The most fun I had was on tuesday...
Thanks to Ming Sheng... who arranged a series of activities for us...

Early in the morning, Ming Sheng, Say Lin and I met up with Sin Mun in Ipoh Old Town to have breakfast... Mostly for the white coffee there...
Then the three of us went back to school to do some studies...
At 11 something, with an addition to the group-Wai Nyin, we went bowling at Ampang Superbowl (in Ipoh Parade opposite our school)...
Believe me... For the first time bowling in my life... I've scored 3 strikes!!! (non-continuous)
That was fun...

With another addition to the group-Jee Bin, we then proceeded to Kinta City to have lunch in a Japanese restaurant (was it called Takahashi???)...
Love the blueberry coffee... dunno how they managed to come up with this excellent combination...
After that we went for a show... Presenting Pixar Movie's latest show... UP!!!

UP characters
Grumpy old man ~ Carl

Little postman fella ~ Russel
Colourful overgrown bird ~ Kelvin
Brown talking dog ~ Dug

Here's what the show's about:
“By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns that he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.”

At first I thought it was just a lame cartoon...
Yup... LAME...
But it turned out to a meaningful one...
Which made me wondered a lot with my life...
Whether i have lived it to the fullest... Or with much regrets...

Here's the trailer for those who haven't had the chance to enjoy this show in front of the big screens...

The movie also comes with three UPisodes... lol...

UPisode 1: Animal Calls

UPisode 2: First Aid

UPisode 3: Snare Trap

And with this movie, i came across another show that will be featured in Summer 2010...
For those nickelodeon fans out there... Prepare to meet Aang in cinemas worldwide...

The Last Airbender

For those who doesn't have any idea of the show... Here's an intro...

Luckily they didn't made Spongebob Squarepants into a movie...
That would be horrible...

Hope that everyone will fare well in the coming trial exam...
Hope everyone gets what they deserved...
Especially those who helped me through the process...

Reminisce Old Memories...

Saw all of you
all packed
ready to leave

Remembered the days
when we all had fun
near
far
nothing as close
to the beat of our hearts

Music
nothing but a passion
a drive
that keeps us moving

But
under-appreciated
i left
to a place
which i was much needed
to a call i must fulfill

We go our own ways
always looking forward
the road
an endless one
is much diverged
yet
there are no U-turns

STCO
good luck
those days
will always be
MEMORIES
never a REGRET!

Amazing (Idol) Carrie...

STPM trial exam approaching soon...
So I won't have much time to update my blog...
Probably this will be my only post for the next few weeks to come...
Probabaly...

But don't worry... I'll make this post count...
Like i always do... Lol...

First of all, i've changed my playlist... Since the last always has some "restriction" problem...
I've also filtered out some of the songs... and added in a few... according to my liking...
Hope you all enjoy the song i like...

Back to my post...
Well... Since nothing much happened in school this week...
Gonna post something on this spectacular girl....

Winner of the fourth season of American Idol ~ Carrie Underwood

Not going to write about her autobiography and stuffs like that...
I'm probably interested in her because of her music... Fantastic!!!
And probably her look... Haha (i'm still a guy ok!)

Her songs are just incredible!!!
As in you can feel what she's trying to convey...
From her voice... to your heart... Sweet...

She may not be the most successful American Idol...
(but Kelly Clarkson, the first to be crowned American Idol is...)
But her soulful country music will always lighten the hearts of millions around the world...
(mine too!!! did i just hear a "mine three"?)

So.. Here's a tribute to her... The first and second video in the blog...
(finally learned how to post a video... thanks Ming Sheng)

Here's Carries moment of triumph in American Idol Season 4 finale...
The most memorable moment was when the fireworks were set off...
Illuminating the dawning of this new-borne star...

Inside Your Heaven ~ Carrie Underwood

Here's when Carrie performed for Idol Gives Back a year later...
A touching video complemented by a soothing song...
Made me cry ToT...

I'll Stand By You ~ Carrie Underwood

Looking forward to 2010 American Idol!!!

Graduation Song ~ We Are The Stars!

Final part of the graduation song posts...
Finally submitted our song... The U6B1 graduation song...

We Are The Stars

Actually, i was kinda mean and rude to everyone throughout the week...
To some, i was arrogant...
Sorry guys... Maybe i didn't start my week well... With a "bump"...
I was kinda envious with everyone...
With what everyone have that i don't...

Jealous of Kok Chow for his strength in Chemistry...
Jealous of Say Lin for his nice voice and musical talents...
Jealous of Ming Sheng for his looks and his leadership qualities...
Jealous of so many other things that i don't have...

But yesterday... When i retyped the lyrics before submitting it to the Sixth Form Society...
I've found out the true meaning of the words i've written...
Never really did thought about it when i've first wrote it...
Suddenly come to a realisation...

Everyone of us has our own strengths...
And our own weaknesses...
And this makes everyone one of a kind...
A distinct STAR!!!

And with our strengths...
We help each other out...
To improve...
To succeed...
To be a better person...
To reach our dreams...

I should have thought of what makes me different from others...
Instead of why is it him/her... And not me...
They may be talented in certain areas that seems far-fetched to me...
But i'm sure i'm good in other areas as well...
Just not sure in what area....

Anyhow... Here's the U6B1's graduation song's lyrics...
And some group photos from the day of recording that i've promised to post...
To remind each and everyone that WE ARE THE STARS...

Cool guys VS Cute gals

Cool gals VS Cute guys

Centre of attraction ~ From Ming Sheng

To me....

Then to Shen Yang... lOl

Battle of the Sexes

We Are The Stars
Lyrics : Gavin Loo Koon Kit
Composer : Chan Ming Sheng

Silence and fear
Seep into our hearts

Future is unclear
Dreams falling apart
But hope is near

Piercing through the daunting dark

We'll aim it high

Aim it far

The challenges awaiting
Will make us who we are
We must believe
In the things that we'll achieve
Cos' we are the stars
We are the stars

Memories unveil
Times that we've been through

Everything was real

Moments we can't undo

The days have changed
But our hearts still beat the same
We'll aim it high
Aim it far

The challenges awaiting

Will make us who we are
We must believe

In the things that we'll achieve

Cos' we are the stars
We are the stars

We are the stars

But hope is near

Piercing through the daunting dark

We'll reach that high

Reach that far

The challenges are nothing

Compared to who we are
We will succeed
In the things that we believed

Cos' we are the stars
We are the stars

We are the stars

The STARS of 2009 U6B1

Here's the song :

Hope you all like it...

Failed...

Involved in a collision with a Kelisa
Estimated damage : RM600
No injuries...

Nothing much to say...
Only this...

Sorry Mom...
I've failed you....
I've failed in keeping the car well...
I've failed in my responsibilities...
I've failed...
I've failed...

I've failed myself....

Graduation Song ~ The Recording

It's that day... Finally...
After lots of criticism... and a few practices in school (thanks Mdm. Etron)...
The whole U6B1 (minus Pei Han... as expected...) went to Ming Sheng's church - Canning Garden Baptist Church - to do the recording... For our graduation song...

Well... How could i put this...
It didn't turn out like what we have expected..
The PA system went haywire... So...
We eventually have to turn to plan B... Ming Sheng's video cam...
ZZZ...

After that.. We went to Pui Yi's home and Ming Sheng's home to shoot our Down Memory Lane video...
I'm quite blur about the whole concept though...
But i think it'll turn out perfect in the hands of a professional (Ming Sheng)..

What's so interesting there?

Our memories... The sweetest ever...

2008 Sixth Form Night

2008 Cameron Trip

2009 Teachers' Day Celebration

It was a tiring day... But some of us had fun... real fun...
It wasn't a waste of time.. At all...
It was a pit stop.. For the long journey that we'll endure soon...

Me!!!

Majestically-looking Kok Chow
(resembling the Statue of Liberty minus the pose)

Yee Kheng and Wai Kuan
(Cute girls.. but unavailable ToT)

Siew Teng and a sleepy+shy Sin Mun

Girls looking fantastic in 2009 U6B1 class T

Having fun? Or slacking off?

The graduation song was a great one ~ for some it definitely is...
All thanks to these people...

New to the band ~ Pianist Keo Lee

As usual ~ Keyboard Zi Xun

New talent uncovered ~ "Flirtist" (flutist la...) Pui Yi

Pretending to be serious (for the camera) ~ Drums and lead singer Say Lin

Multi-talented ~ Director+Guitarist+Lead Singer Ming Sheng

And for those book worms (i don't mean to be rude)...
Just ask yourselves...
Are you going to be happy just because you got the result you wanted?
Or do you want to be joyous because you had fun throughout the whole process?

All of the people above worked hard and put in effort to complete a class project...
And if we really did win the competition...
It's their victory.. Not yours...
It's their success.. Not yours...
And I pray for that to happen...

Here's what i believe...
I believe that God will give people what they deserve...
Not what they want...
And God will bless people based on the efforts they put in...

And I think that these people who sacrificed so much to complete the graduation song as well as putting in effort in their studies will be the winning party...
What more could i say...

They DESERVE it...

Their dreams will come true...

More to come... Group pictures and lyrics ...

Busy Week ~ Sixth Form Farewell Party

Final part of my busy week...
The most interesting event...

SIXTH FORM SOCIETY FAREWELL PARTY ~ FOOTPRINTS IN OUR HEARTS

A great event indeed... Held in Ipoh Swimming Club's ballroom...
Everything was well organised.. Credits to all the OCs...
If i'm not mistaken, the whole event was dance-themed..
There were a lot of dancing involved...
We were all reluctant to dance in the first place...
But eventually...
WE DANCED!!!
And... We enjoyed it!!!

The event started of with a toast (not the TOAST you eat for breakfast)...
And then there were the speeches...
And the fun began...

Yum Seng!!!

The OCs prepared two dances...

The first was more of a funny dance on the beach...
But the second... MJs in the house...

And to our surprise... They WORKED it!!!!

MJs in the house

After dinner, we were invited to dance along...
Dancing was not my thing, but i had fun...
There was also the Senior-Junior match programme...
Some only got paired with one junior...
But... i got TWO!!!!
Thanks to "Do-Rae-Yaki"...
