Berserker Deep Down

~ My Life ~ My Journey ~ My Destiny ~

[62] J-A-Y spells ==> Treasure Hunter!!!

Went to watch THE TREASURE HUNTER...
Well... It's the first time i've ever watched a movie in the cinema alone...
Courtesy of Wai Nyin.... But i dun blame him...
Working is all about dedication.... I know...

Back to the movie...
A lot of my friends have told me not to watch the show...
For whatever absurd reason...
But... It's a good thing i went for it...

Why??
Actually i dun blame any of them for giving bad comments on the show...
The action scenes was quite lame... But you can't expect Jackie Chan elements to be in it, right?
The romance was so so... Sparks were there, but the director decided not to lit them up... What a joke...
And humor... I always emphasise on this... With Eric Tsang in show, how much less can you get?

Nice one!!!

But what i like about the show...
Is that it's more of a RPG game...
Everything was so game-like... Even the weapons...
It's like those games with a lot of chapters and you have to solve mysteries to reach the final chapter... COOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!

But... The main attraction is of course Jay Chow...
For those who seem to crave for this multi-talented guy...
Here's something....

Where is he aiming at? I guess it's more of a pose...

Sugar Cane??? NOT!!!!

Nope... That's not the painting of "The Last Supper"... I dun even know what painting is it...

Feel like watching??? Go for it i say....
But... There's a bit of boringness and blurness in the storyline...
You might wanna think twice....

[61] What Faith Can Do

Keep stumbling into great things recently...
Remember i said that i went to Ipoh Parade in my last post?
Well... A few of us (the Sixth Form gang) went to Glad's Sound to buy a present...
For who??? It's a secret... *Shhhhhhh*

For those who was unsure what Glad's Sound is...
It's actually a shop (i heard it's a franchise) that sells great things related to Christianity...
Books... Souvenirs.. Bookmarks... CDs... Anything you can think of...
No food of course....

Ok... So here's the stumbling part...
When we were thinking of what to buy...
I heard this great song...
I hesitated to ask... Cos i dun open my mouth that often around strangers...
But i BRACED myself (big word huh)... And ask what album was that...
And i got this....

I came home and viewed all the songs on Youtube...
And wow!!! These guys are great!!!!
Here's the song that touched me the deepest...
I hope that it will bring those who are sickly EMO-ing back to life....
(Oh... did you see the word "worship"?? It's a Christian band...)

Kutless ~ What Faith Can Do

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you are stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains

Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard

Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains

Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds

You don't have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains

Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That's what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

[60] Together OR Alone??

Probably you're wondering what i'm doing up so late....
Well.... I'm HOME ALONE!!!!
At least my parents aren't home for today...
So i guess make this the first late-night-post...

Ok... Had a fantastic lunch with the Sixth Form gang today....
Guess what we had.....
Steamboat? Nope....
Chops? Nope....
What else.... McD???
I dun think anyone will think of having this for a gathering....

Yup... Bak Kut Teh!!!! Lols...
Actually we kinda stumble into this place...
Planned of having some other style of lunch in Delight Cafe opposite this restaurant...
Who would have thought that Delight Cafe was closed... ZZZ...

But, having Bak Kut Teh wasn't a bad idea after all...
At least we did had fun chatting...
And guess who was there....

Have you spotted her???
Yup... Mdm. Lau came!!!
It was really nice for her to be here with us...
Too bad Mdm. Chee and some of the other gang members can't join us...

After lunch, went for a walk at Ipoh Parade...
When it was time to go home, got a sudden urge to go hiking!!!!
And i did... Changed my clothes at home then straight to the hills... Alone....
(For those who din know, the hills are just around the corner from my house)

Never gone hiking without a companion.... This was the first...
So, i walked... and run... and walked... and run.... (How many times do i need to repeat this?)
Until i came to a point with 23 written on the ground... ( I have no IDEA what that means)
There were 3 routes to proceed from there:
1) Ascending tough-but-short trail
2) Ascending easy-but-long-trail
3) Descending trail

Well... I was sweating... My thighs were hurting...
I was dehydrated... But i only ascended for like half an hour....
So.... I took the easy way out...
I went down... and home sweet home...

On my way down... I thought...
That "junction" is actually a junction in my life now....
I've graduated from Form 6...
And i really cherish all those memories and friendship...
And feeling those bonds weakening and fading away...
It was just PAINFUL and FRIGHTENING!!!!
And.. what did i do...
I backed up... Returned to my past...
Where all good memories lie....
With all this pain... I dare not proceed...
Neither the tough-but-short nor easy-but-long "route"...
It needs time... And courage...
For wounds to heal.... And for one to simply... MOVE ON...

Maybe next time i'll take the ascending trails....
Maybe when i'm ready to be independent...
When i can finally move on... Alone...

*Scenery shots were taken with my SE C902... Nice???

[59] Chip(MUNKS)/(ETTES)??

The Chipmunks are back!!!!
And with girl power added to the show...
Things aren't gonna the be the same...

I didn't manage to watch the first show...
So there are a few things i'm not so sure about....
Why aren't people shocked and afraid of talking and singing chipmunks?
In the first place, why can chipmunks talk and sing better than ME????

Whatever works i guess...
Anyway... The show was quite plain for me....
There was the element of humour of course....
And the element of romance....
But the climax didn't rocketed to well...
Leaving me walking away without any excitement...
Not to mention the short showing time....

But if you're a chipmunk fan, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS 2 is a must-watch....
Why, you ask???
Because of the addition of the CHIPETTES!!!
Another 3 chipmunks!!!!
I know you wanna know what changes the other 3 chipmunks are gonna make...

Chipmunks VS Chipettes

Don't they look like twins??? Even the colour tone matches!!

I love the way how Theodore (in green) looks at people...
So CUTEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Going to watch Treasure Hunter on Wednesday...
Heard that it's not a great show...
But... Gonna give it a try...
Wait for my review k?

AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

[57] I've Survived A CGBC Youth Camp!!!

Ok... It's not as terrible as it sounds...
It was a really great experience and enjoyable camp...
But there's something bout me that everyone should know...
I like being in my comfort zone and it's really hard for me to adapt to new environments..

After i've registered for the camp, there was really this weird feeling of fear whether i made the right choice or not... Whether i'll fit in or whether is it the right thing for me to do...
I know that i'll enjoy it there... With Ming Sheng and his gang of course...
But somehow... There was still this sense of insecurity that i felt...

Throughout the camp... I've been quite passive... It's the way i am...
If you've known me for a while, you'll probably know me as a different person...
But being in a new environment... 3 days wasn't enough for me to adapt...
It wasn't enough for me to get that sense of belonging...
It wasn't enough for me to open up myself to people around me...

But.. The whole experience was AWESOME...
Even though it was a small step out my comfort zone...
It made a lot of difference... Especially spiritual-wise...
Sessions with Pastor Jason really helped me a lot on how to proceed in life...
There were a few times when his words really struck me deep down...
Matters i realised even before i joined this camp...
And i know i need to change myself i order to be a better person...

Nonetheless... There were so many FIRST for me in this camp...
FIRST time participating in a camp not organised by societies in school...
FIRST time having a camp in a hotel...
FIRST time in a group which has two names (Sarai-Sarah)...
FIRST time dressing formal in a camp...
FIRST time having spiritual sessions in camp...
FIRST time winning in a camp....
And all this FIRSTs really made this camp memorable...

Here's some other things which will remind me of this great experience...

The name tag... Before...

And the name tag... After...

Here's our name tags after the makeover... See where mine fits in..

A couple of bookmarks i got during ice-breaking...

The HOLY BIBLE... Gonna (try) finish reading it during this long holidays...

Sarah was top among the 6 groups!!! And we won bracelets!!!

Undeniably... It was a an experience of a lifetime...
Maybe next year i'll get someone to join as well if i'm around town...
So i can get to say this...

I've Survived A CGBC Youth Camp!!!

CGBC Youths... All of you are AWESOME!!!

See... I still look COOL!!!

[56] Nothing but AWESOME!!!!

Probably some are wondering why there's no update for a few days..
After i made a promise to update my blog more regularly...
Well... Here's the answer...
I went for a make over...
If you're wondering who this is, you must be on earth for a short period of time only...

No... This is not what i look like after the makeover...
It's actually a spiritual makeover.. Hard to get, right?
Here's the whole thing...
I went for Canning Garden Baptist Church's (sounds familiar?) 3D2N Youth Camp 2009

X-treme Makeover

Hand-made booklet.. AWESOME!!

The whole purpose of the camp was definitely to change a person...
But not from the outside in... It's from the inside out...
When you feel good, you'll definitely look good..

Let's go through the programs for this post and save my thoughts for later ones...
I know some of you really wanna know what i think... That'll have to wait...
It's a church camp (obviously..) and as expected, there'll be prayers and worships...
Which i think was AWESOME (word of the camp...) cos' i've never been to a spiritual camp before...

And since it's a youth camp...
Right!! Games!!! AWESOME games!!!
On the first day there were outdoor games..
You know.. Balls and water filled balloons...
Btw, i suck in ball games and there were two of them... zzz..

On the second day, there was these indoor games which was based more on negotiation and creativity...
At first we have to negotiate and barter with other teams to get pieces of a specific Bible verse...
Then we have to build a bridge out of "fragile" material... And supporting an almost 50kg guy...
Well... My group did made it possible.. Along with 3 other groups...

Our first design... It works fine..

Then we changed to this... And it still works!!!

Not forgetting the AWESOME-ness of Pastor Jason Wong for giving us 4 sessions of this makeover experience...
He's definitely an AWESOME person..
Preaching (i hope i used the right word here..) to us on God's love and grace... And our trust in Him...

AWESOME!!!

And there was this Formal Night on the second day which was filled with some AWESOME stuffs...
It started with praise and worship... and moved on to a session with Pastor Wong...
Then, it was TALENT TIME!!! Some people get to show off their talents to everyone...
AWESOME!!! Which talent won???
It wasn't the talent to sing.. It wasn't the talent to dance..
Neither it was the talent to make girls scream their throats out...
It was the talent to make people laugh... To enjoy... To have fun...
Congrats to the COME BOYZ... You all were AWESOME!!!

Then there was this appearance makeover, where a group member from each group has to be transformed into a new person...
Surprisingly, all of them did... Not only appearance-wise, but also in their character...
AWESOME!!!

Participants for the makeover...

Seriously... Looks like a make-under!!!

So much for the programs... Sorry for the lack of "illustrations" (photos..)
Have been too busy having fun... lolz...
So you'll have to imagine how AWESOME it was if you were not there...

My thoughts on the camp coming up on the next post...
And some other things that i've left out in this...
Come back for more!!!

[55] Slimed Till The End

Yup... You guessed it...
Went for Disney's latest movie "The Princess and the Frog" just now...
And WOW!!! What else could i say...
It's simple DISNEY!!!

It's been a while since Disney's last princess movie...
But... Their standard hasn't drop the slightest...
It's everything you could expect from Disney...
Cool characters (both human and animals)... Great songs (love the jazz in this one)...
And for kids (and even adults too).. Some lessons on life..

Kiss the frog covered in slime (oh sorry...mucus)!!!

In fact... What i like about this show is the twist they gave to the conventional plot of "The Frog Prince"...
And by adding more romance and some humor (and when i say humor, it means total non-stop laughter)...
It definitely made the whole epic fairytale fresh and acceptable to kids from this era...
It's a risk worth taking...

Dancing with the.... FROGS???

However... The villain was rather "tame" (dun you think?)...
Voodoo did seem to fit in this story ( black ppl... africa... voodoo... you get what i mean)...
But i guess Disney was short of spells...

The show wasn't lifted to that level of suspense i hoped for...

Creepy? Or Funny?

Despite that minor setback, "The Princess and the Frog" is definitely a show worth watching...
It's the perfect family show... And enjoyable too if you're planning to watch it with your friends...
In fact, a class of kindergarden kids went to the same cinema... Accompanied by their teachers...
Cool right? I wonder why they didn't do that back in our days...
Trust me... You wouldn't want to miss this one!!!

The right picture to end this post...

[54] Post Exam UP-TO(S)

Been wanted to post this yesterday...
But my lil bro was dominating the comp (coincidentally, he's playing DOTA)...

That's why I can only blog today... lolz...

So what's the big fuss right....
Well.... I got myself a new phone!!!!!!
It's a Sony Ericsson C902...

Bought it because it looks COOL... And it produces nice photos as well...

Unexpectedly, it has great audio too...

1 check on my post exam to-do-list!!!

Like i said... A COOL phone!!!
(PHOTOS BY C510)

Cleaned my study desk as well yesterday (Another check on my to-do-list)...
For the first time in 2 months.. It actually looked like a study desk!!!
Packed all my Form Six books in a box... A BIG one...
I guess i'm gonna sell them...
At least they're still worth something now than in 2 years' time...

I did mention that it was a big box...
(PHOTOS BY C902... Maybe i haven got the settings right...)

Somehow, i feel like i'm writing an online diary... zzz...
On my days after exam... Sorry if it bores you... But i just can't find anything to write...
Maybe this song will make my blog a little more worthy to read... lolz...
Have been listening to this song on air for a few days now...
And the beat and rhythm is rather catchy...
Here's the link (because i can't embed it....)

Orianthi ~ According to You

*The girl looks AWESOME !!!!

[53] Back Into Business!!!

Well.. It has been for some time now...
Since my exam's finally over... I'll be spending more time blogging!!!!
But... First things first... Love the new skin???? lolz...

I guess the brighter tone signifies that i'm moving into a new stage of my life...
Pre-U's finally over... and there's plenty of things to do ahead...
Straight after my last paper, I kickstarted my holidays with Storm Warrior 2 with the guys...
The show was ok... If you're a kung fu manga fan, sure you'll love it!!!

Cool poster, right?

Love this one...

Ekin Cheng makes a pretty good fridge, don't he...

And yesterday... Went to school to help some weak students with their maths...
It's actually a Mentor Men-tee sort of project... And for the first time...
I know what it feels like to be a teacher.... It's not as easy as it looks...
To-be-teachers... If you're really up for the challenge, GO FOR IT!!!

Just came back from donating blood today...
The grand aunt of a friend of my friend (is it too complicated?) required specific B+ blood for surgery... so i kindly volunteered...

Actually there was a slight sense of fear..
The first two times when i donated in school i fainted.... Luckily my friends was with me...
but this time... it was different.. I drove to the hospital alone...
ALONE!!! But when everything was over... I DID'NT FAINT!!!!
Now i hope that the recipient can be fine after the surgery...

Dun wanna bored everyone with my daily life...
Gonna come up with something interesting to blog (I hope...)
Anyway... I'll be coming up with a few posts on my form six life...
Anyone whose interested... Just drop by....

[52] Almost.... Almost....

Nothing much to write actually...
Just a short update...

Two more papers down and 4 more to go...
What else could i say.... YEAH!!!!
Can't believe that all this misery is coming to an end...
Although not as terrible as it sounds, i still can't wait to resume my routine...
TV shows... Computer games... Outings... And maybe some other stuffs...

Here's some encouragement for those who have gave up on STPM or other things...
I know it sounds familiar but.... IT WORKS...

YOU WILL WHEN YOU BELIEVE

And together with it I bring you this scene from the movie "The Prince of Egypt"...
Personally, it's the best version of the song i've ever heard...
It brings back nostalgic feelings of the times when i was in the chinese orchestra...
Enjoy..
