[47] Tonight's Gonna Be Great!!!!

It's almost mid-noon...
6 more hours to the big event tonight...

SIXTH FORM NIGHT 2009
AN ENCHANTED EVENING OF MUSICAL DELIGHTS

Actually pretty looking forward to this night...
Because last year's was a total success!!!
Thanks to everyone that has put in great effort and hardwork...
Especially the Sixth Form Comms and the 2008 lower sixes (which by the way is us... lolx)

To Sam Tet-ians... The Sixth Form Night is a Prom-Night-like event...
Where all of us get to dress our best... Get together for a dinner...
Performances by the lower sixes.. And well... ENJOY OURSELVES!!!!

Hope everyone could loosen up and get textbooks out of their heads...
And have a great and memorable night with me...
Yup... With ME!!!!
Last year I was working my a** off that night...

Being an MC for the first time and in such a big event...
As i always told everyone... Was new to me... and INTIMIDATING too....
Hopefully this year... I could have some real fun time...
With everyone... And take a lot of photos!!!!!

By the way... Came across this song early in the morning...
Which i tot was really appropriate to describe my feelings now...
Hope you all dun mind it's set in auto-play...

*Wonder how everyone will look tonight.........*

[46] Pika pika??

This little yellow figure sure is no stranger to everyone...
And the show it is from sure became part of everyone's childhood memory...
Not to mention the various games produced after the show became a huge thing around the world....

Yes...
Say hello to Mr. Pikachu!!!
Or is it Ms. Pikachu??

Well... I'm sure it's a he...
But i never realised how high its pitch were after i watched this video... The video will speak for itself...

[45] Plans.. For the Future!!

Form 6 is going to end soon...
And looking back... 18 years....
What did I accomplished throughout my 18 years in life?
Did I really live those 18 years fully?
Or did I wasted each and every second of those years?

The past can't be altered...
But I can plan my future...
I can determine how i want to live...

It's hard for me to leave my Form 6 life behind me...
It's somehow a self-revolution...
A self changing process...
Metamorphosis...
I'll explain why in my later posts...

I know it's hard to re-live my Form 6 life...
So here's what i planned for Uni-days!!!

1. Keep in contact with my fellow U6B1 2009 pals through our blog (coming soon)...
2. Get a bunch of close friends (someone like Ming Sheng, Say Lin, Wai Nyin, Yi Kai, Kok Chow, etc.)....
3. Get into the student's representative society (or something like that)...
4. Learn up guitar (and maybe drums)...
5. Learn how to compose songs (maybe just surface through it)...
6. Excel in my studies (CRUCIAL!!!)...
7. Participate in a volunteer service (preferably related to animals)...
8. Travel (esp if its free.... wakakakaka...)
9. U6B1 annual reunion...
10. Love perhaps? (lolx...)

I'll just stick to 10..... Maybe more will be coming up...

[44] 最后一次

Just a random post

Hope that everyone likes this song

[43] Think Big - Dream Big

Happy holidays again everyone!!!!
Thanks to the festival of light... Everyone's getting a break...
Which, by the way, is extremely important so that we dun overwork ourselves...
Especially for those who will be having their SPM and STPM in amonths time...

So... I went to the movies yesterday...
Along with Ming Sheng, Say Lin, Wai Nyin, Yi Kai, Kok Chow, Zi Xun, Yun Foong and one of Ming Sheng's friend, Victor...
Already planned to watch this movie since my last visit to the cinema...

You may have seen a meteor shower, nothing would be 'meatier' than raining meatballs...
Yup... We went for "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"...

A nice show indeed... Who would ever thought of producing such a movie...
About an ambitious guy who always wanted to be recognised as an inventor...
Flavoured with hilarious scenes...
Seasoned with spices of romance...
Garnished with a light touch of father-son relation...

What else could i say... Mama-mia!!!
You all should watch for yourselves..
Here's some great food awaiting you in the cinemas...

For those who can't get enough McD, it's raining CHEESEBURGERS!!!

PANCAKE served extra large for those who has the stomach of a cow...
(Some biology here... cows have a stomach with 4 chambers...)

And a SPAGHETTI typhoon...
For those who simply like to 'whorl' yours with the fork...

Since the school library took the day off today...
I might as well spend some time home...
Then i came across this Barbie series... Thumbelina...

I know it's weird for a guy to play with a Barbie...
(dun get me wrong... i dun play with dolls...)
But behind every Barbie story... There's a moral...
And the same goes for every single show...

Both "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "Thumbelina" made me realise that we should always

THINK BIG, DREAM BIG
Thinking big... Not in the sense that everything must be humongous or large...
Sometimes, you feel that you're small...
Your contributions to the world is insignificant...
You're not good enough... And that you'll never be good enough...

Well... No single person has the power to change this world on their own...
We know that.. Because we are tiny...
But together... As a whole... We can work miracles...
One's might may be insignificant... But united... Nothing is impossible...
Together... We make a difference...

And also dreaming big...
No one will ever be successful if we dun dream...
Dreams motivates people...
It's the force which pushes us forward each and every single day...

Flint wanted to be a great scientist/inventor in a small island...
And he never gave up... Even where there's no one who recognised his talents...
Thumbelina was the size no larger than the palm of an adult human...
But she was able to stop humans multiples of her size from destroying her kind...

It's all in our head...

Can I do it???

Can I achieve my goal???

Do I have what it takes???

You know the answer....

[42] I'm Addicted!!!

Have i told everyone how much of a TV fan i am???
Well...

I'm an ADDICT!!!!

a TV ADDICT!!!

There's nothing much more satisfying than to follow my favourite TV series(es) throughout the entire week... Week after week... After week... After week... Until the season ends...
And i tell you... I'll go beyond my limits just to follow all of them...
Eg. staying up way past midnight...

Everything started few years back with the show with the three witches and the power of three and demons and heaven and stuffs....
Yup... I'm a CHARMED fan!!!
I have to stay up late just to watch one episode...
(Did i mentioned that i'm not subscribing to ASTRO? You'll know why...)

And then came all the cool reality shows...

SURVIVOR..
one of my favourites because of the extremely innovative games...

AMAZING RACE..
it's the only chance i get to travel to different places....

AMERICAN IDOL..
The best singing competition ever!!!

Enough with reality shows...
Later... Forensic science and medicine have become a major element in producing great TV series... Although some aspects of these shows are too far-fetched, nevertheless they revolutionised the whole TV series industry....

First came CSI: LAS VEGAS..
to me... it's just not that dramatic as the other three...

Then it was CSI: MIAMI's turn to shine...
What's with the cool attitude, Horatio???

But among the three of them...
I still prefer the much sophisticated and dramatic
CSI: NEW YORK...

Anthropology made its way into the industry through BONES..
Which, i think, was somehow better than the CSI series...
Maybe it's the affairs...

And speaking bout affairs..
GREY'S ANATOMY is 90% affair and 10% work...
They just bombard medical terms to make it look like a TV show on doctors...

So a lot of you must be wondering what shows am i following recently...
Well... Let's see....

Thanks a lot STPM!!!!

I better score!!!!

It's a big sacrifice!!!!

[41] The Truth

A great video for everyone...

I dunno how many of you have watched this before...

but

It's simply ENCOURAGING!!!

[40] I Look To You

Not much to post on actually...
Just got this great song i wanna introduce to everyone...
It's called... "I Look to You" by Whitney Houston...

Everyone knows that she's a great singer...
Yup... A soulful one...
And this time... Without fail....
Here she is with a brand new one....

I dunno how many of you like her (or her songs)...
But i'm just attracted to song like these...
Which have that magical mystical effect to cure souls...
And it does sound like a church song...
Maybe that is where its power comes from...

Already bored with the moving lyrics things....
In exchange... I'm going to type the lyrics....

I Look To You ~ Whitney Houston

As I lay me down,
heaven hear me now.
I'm lost without a cause
after giving it my all.

Winter storms have come
and darkened my sun.
After all that I've been through
Who on earth can I turn to?

I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
in you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
in you I hear a song.
I look to you.

About to lose my breathe,
there's no more fighting left,
Sinking to rise no more,
searching for that open door.

And every road that I've taken
lead to my regret.
And I don't know if I'm going to make it.
Nothing to do but lift my head

I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
in you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
in you I hear a song.
I look to you.

My levees are broken
My walls have come
tumbling down on me

The rain is falling.
Defeat is calling.
I need you to set me free.

Take me far away from the battle.
I need you.
Shine on me.

I look to you.
I look to you.
After all my strength is gone,
in you I can be strong
I look to you.
I look to you.
And when melodies are gone,
in you I hear a song.
I look to you.

[39] Post Exam ~ Mid-Autumn Festival

Woke up relatively late today...
9am... Usually wake up at 7...
Maybe its the exam-pressure-free night yesterday...
And the exam-anxiety-free sleep i had...

Watched "Marley and Me" at home last night...
Starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston...
The starting was great... Light... Happy...
When Marley was that mischievous young dog
And the ending was a big contrast of that...
When Marley was dying... Of old age of course...
Really touching... Heart-felt...
Tears came rolling... Even from me...

Here's some pics i found on the internet on "Marley and Me"...

Be prepared for a shock!!!!

The Grogans choosing...
(How??? They all look the same!!!)

That's why no dogs are allowed in the bedroom...

And here's why no dogs are allowed in the garage!!!
("Great job", Marley...)

Anyway, another possible reason that i woke up late was...
It's Mid-Autumn Festival today!!! (or rather tonight...)
Many people would call it the Mooncake Festival...
Named after the symbolic Mooncake eaten during this festival...
Or the Lantern Festival...
Yup... Taken from the symbolic lanterns people light...
But i like Mid-Autumn... Feels like the year is going to end...
Which is a good thing...

Usually people just enjoy the food...
Or lighting up candles and lanterns... (and eventually burning up the house!!!)
Or for single girls, performing some odd ritual to get a guy into their life (there's such ritual i tell you...)
But what i enjoy the most of this festival is...
The togetherness... Family members united together..
To enjoy... To share...

Been living a hectic life last week...
Almost forgotten to spend time with my family...
Well... Tonight is a great night to repair broken bonds...
Especially with my father... Had been quite rude to him lately...

Sorry dad...

Hope tonight we'll drink (chinese tea... not beer) through the night and forget bout the arguments...

Here's a trailer of "Marley and Me" for those who have not watched it in cinemas in 2008...

Have a Nice Mid-Autumn Festival everyone...

中秋节快乐
